There's no intentions to take sides here. I've really not considered my own thoughts on this game, and whether it's appropriate. It's much more interesting at this stage to report how others are reacting. But the Daily Mail makes it hard to remain balanced when they open their report with utter nonsense.
Immediately describing it as a 'survival horror' game, they then going on to announce which platforms the game will be coming out for, despite none being given by the developers. It's not an auspicious start.

Just by listening to the soul purpose of the game, you know that this was going to be one helluva' controversial game…. and so it was.

The game was based around a group of young teenage women who decide to stay at Mr. and Mrs. Martin's house for the night as you (the player) watch over them through 8 hidden cameras that are scattered in 8 different locations throughout the house. Your job is to protect these girls with the traps laid in each room from the enemy, the ‘Augers'. If you fail to do so, you are left with a bloodless murder sequence. Due to these 'violent' scenes, the game has been heavily criticized and battered on by the media and was cited as an ‘encouragement to trap and kill women' which then lead to the removal of the CD versions of the game from the two largest toy store chains in America, Toys 'R' Us and Kay-Bee Toys.

Wolfenstein 3D was and is still currently known as the 'Grandfather of all shooters' as it established the fast-paced action and technical prowess commonly expected in the genre and increased the genre's popularity. The game's use of Nazi symbols, including the swastika and the Nazi Party‘s anthem 'Horst-Wessel-Lied' as theme music lead to the withdrawal of sale from Germany despite it's portrayal as Nazi's as the enemy and Hitler being the main antagonist.
The SNES version of the game was then edited due to concerns from Nintendo of America. All the swastikas and Nazi references were removed and Hitler (The boss) was renamed 'Staatmeister' and his mustache was removed also. Funny story eh?

'No Russian' is the fourth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The mission takes place in Zakhaev International Airport.
